Beauty in everyone's eyes
Humans of New York is popular because it shows and tells everyone about everyone's story and how they are different. They show people pictures of people and their own single story. What drawed me to this picture was her hair because its colorful and her story most importantly. Her story is that her parents didn't like her appearance and they asked why she didn't look normal. But i liked this one because the truth is not everyone is normal and is beautiful in their own ways and parents are i think are tough on their kids to make them face the real world and get them prepared for whats to come. She wished that her parents would say she could dress however she wants. Every teen wants to dress however they want when they live with their parents but in the end they do the best they can and guide you to not make the same mistakes they did.
And they don't want you to fail or dress bad because your actions affect their reputation and image. The stereotype would be that people with unusual hair colors are not nice and don't dress normal. And they see that not everyone is normal and who wants to be. We are all unique in our own ways and are beautiful too and we all have our own story and people will stereotype them based on their looks and when they hear it they learn and see that we are not all like that. So people can stereotype you based on your looks and not learn or hear the story and assume that everyone is like that. Our stories are not complete yet and not everyone is like that based on their looks or their clothes choice. Her story was very inspirational cause it relates to me and teens really everyone because we all have dealt with it or have heard about it. It relates to the real world today and teens today.

I love the story you chose! I like the way she was talking about her having problems with confidence so she did what made her feel bold. She's saying she was different and I find that amazing.
ReplyDeleteI honestly think she could be a motivational speaker at like high schools and middle schools for kids that have problems with school and other kids. I like how she also talks about how she dealt with her problems.
ReplyDeleteI love this story!!!! No matter if you dress or have different hair color then other people it does not matter. Just because people are different from you and other people does not mean there weird or have a stereotype. They are there own person and we should not judge we all her the same stories.
ReplyDeleteGood job, make sure you post the text w/ the pic! 100
